New to TVNZ+: October 19-25

The Rise and Rise of Taylor Swift (October 24) lands the same day as her NFL beau’s 2016 dating reality show, Catching Kelce.

The former is a Channel 4 documentary that charts her evolution from country singing ingenue to the queen of pop music, and how her fans have helped carry her to the top.

It features the biggest ‘Swifties’ from the UK explaining their connection to her music and how being part of a global fan community has changed their lives and how the culture of fandom has become a huge trend.

Catching Kelce follows Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce trying to find love in each of the 50 states.

The star says it’s a show he wishes we’d “all forget about”, Vanity Fair reports, but Rolling Stone thought it “instantly more engaging than a lot of reality romance streaming today”.

Fire Country (October 21) returns for its third season, with new episodes dropping weekly express from the US.

Also new are every episode of Mr. Robot (October 19), the movies Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales (October 22), and the linear debuts of My Kitchen Rules Australia, Matlock, George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces 10th Anniversary Special, Manhunt: The Murder of Emily Longley, Julia Bradbury’s Irish Journey and Gem Hunters Down Under.
