New TVNZ 1 Hit No Mistake
TVNZ 1’s Sunday newcomer The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes was an immediate hit in the core commercial demographic and crushed the movies on TVNZ 2 and Three.
It averaged a 4.41 rating/31.50 share to draw 90,543 adults 25-54 — 30,000 more than the previous week’s final of Grand Designs.
It did benefit from Sunday delivering a larger lead-in week-on-week: 7.74 rating/38.97 share, or 48,000 more viewers.
1 News and Hyundai Country Calendar also rated higher week-on-week, all of which helped 9.30 drama Redemption to improve from a 0.84 rating/8.83 share for its undistinguished premiere to a 1.33 rating/15.76 share.
TVNZ 2’s most popular 25-54 programme was MasterChef Australia (3.46 rating/16.08 share) while its primetime movie Clash of the Titans (1.14 rating/10.49 share) was out-rated by its afternoon attraction Despicable Me 3 (1.76 rating/12.00 share).
Three’s Jack Reacher averaged a 19.5 rating/19.94 share to improve on its low-rating lead-in, Lego Masters (1.67 rating/8.91 share).
The network’s afternoon replay of SailGP averaged a 1.25 rating/10.40 share.
