New Walking Dead on the Move
TVNZ 2 has changed slots for the newest addition to The Walking Dead franchise even before it premieres and there’s still no word on when it will stream on TVNZ+.
Walking Dead: Dead City was to have launched next week in a late-night Monday slot.
But today TVNZ said it would now screen 10.25 Tuesdays instead of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (which will switch to 10.35 Mondays).
TVNZ 2 had to make the change because of “delivery issues” with Walking Dead: Dead City — even though the original Walking Dead was a hot-off-the-satellite Monday night staple for a decade.
The linear logistics also could explain why the show’s streaming debut on TVNZ+ has yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Nine-owned streamer Stan in Australia is promoting a June 19 launch — the same day as its US bow on AMC (which will be 1pm Monday NZ time).
