Ozark Duo Goes Down Rabbit Hole

Ozark’s Jason Bateman and Laura Linney reunite behind the scenes to direct Black Rabbit, a new Netflix thriller that drops on September 18.

Bateman helmed the first two of eight episodes and Linney the second two.

They last collaborated as husband-and-wife drug dealers in Ozark but only Bateman has a starring role in Black Rabbit.

He co-stars with fellow executive producer Jude Law as brothers pushed to the brink by ambition and family duty. Reads the blurb:

Jake Friedken (Law) is the charismatic owner of Black Rabbit, a restaurant and VIP lounge, poised to become the hottest spot in New York. But when his brother, Vince (Bateman), returns to the business unexpectedly, trouble soon follows; opening the door to old traumas and new dangers that threaten to bring down everything they’ve built.

Black Rabbit is billed as “a propulsive thrill ride and character examination” about how an unbreakable bond between brothers can shatter their world and everything in its orbit.

The series was created and executive produced by Zach Baylin (King Richard, Creed III) and Kate Susman (The Order) for Youngblood Pictures.
