Panasonic 3DTV In Stores But Not For Sale

Panasonic’s first 3D plasma TV won’t go on sale until late next month but is being demonstrated in Harvey Norman stores.
The 50-inch TH-P50VT20Z is priced at $4999, which will make it about $1500 more expensive than Samsung’s same-size 3D plasma, the PS50C700.
Panasonic’s 3DTV also is being demonstrated at Wellington Airport, until August 1, and this weekend at Sylvia Park in Auckland, after which it will move onto Westfield Manukau, St Lukes and Albany.
As well as its 3D prowess, which is exceptional, the TH-P50VT20Z is notable for its THX mode, Skype capability, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, USB playback and recording (off a FreeviewHD EPG), and wireless DLNA.
In the UK and the US, it’s being acclaimed as one of the best TVs ever: Trusted Reviews called it “comfortably the finest mainstream TV Panasonic has ever produced” and CNET judged it to be “the best 2D TV we’ve ever tested”.

We have recently bought this TV and I must say, it is out of this world.Just watching Freeview and the clarity and hues is splendid, just like in a cinema.And watching something on full HD leaves you wanting more. The blacks are rich and there is no flicker. 3D is perfect and enjoyable. But one should have a good sound system to complement this TV.Good work,Panasonic.
