Pete Sneaks Back on to Amazon Prime

Season two of Sneaky Pete will premiere on Amazon Prime in 4K-UHD on March 9.

The lighthearted thriller about a con man (Giovanni Ribisi) who assumes his ex-cellmate’s identity to elude gangsters and moves in with his alter-ego’s estranged family, was Amazon Prime’s second most streamed original scripted series of 2017.

It was created by Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and David Shore (The Good Doctor), with Cranston, Graham Yost (The Americans), James Degus (All The Way), Michael Dinner and Fred Golan (Justified) executive producing.

The entire second season will be available to stream and you can view the trailer here.

Premiering next month on the streaming service are season 1B of superhero series The Tick (February 23, see the trailer here) and Grand Prix Driver (February 9).

Formerly known as the untitled McLaren racing series, the latter goes inside the highly secretive world of Formula 1 with unprecedented access to the inner workings of the McLaren team.

“Amazon Prime Video members will get a front row seat to the good and the bad — it will be unlike anything ever seen before in racing,” Heather Schuster, Head of Unscripted, Amazon Originals, promises.

You can view the trailer for the four-part Michael Douglas-narrated series here.

Earlier this month, Amazon greenlit a second season of The Tick. The 10-episode renewal will debut next year.

However, not getting second helpings are Crisis in Six Scenes, Jean-Claude Van Johnson and  I Love Dick. One Mississippi also has been axed (after two seasons).

Meanwhile, Breathe, a gritty psychological drama about the Mumbai Crime Branch premiered yesterday. It’s Amazon Prime Video’s second India Prime Original Series following the launch of last year’s Inside Edge.
