Prime Video Adds Series Premieres

Prime Video has announced two more series premieres that are coming soon: Ten Percent and The Summer I Turned Pretty.

Ten Percent (April 28) is a UK comedy-drama from BAFTA award-winner John Morton (Twenty TwelveW1A) that was inspired by one of Netflix’s biggest foreign hits, Call My Agent (Dix Pour Cent).

Prime Video says the eight-part series retains the essence of the French original but in a London talent agency that “incorporates John Morton’s unique British sensibility while introducing new storylines and A-list cameo appearances”.

The heavyweight cast includes Jack Davenport, Lydia Leonard, Maggie Steed, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Hiftu Quasem, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Rebecca Humphries, Harry Trevaldwyn, Tim McInnerny, Natasha Little, Edward Bluemel, Eleonore Arnaud and Jim Broadbent.

There also will be A-list cameos by Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Williams, David Oyelowo, Jessica Oyelowo, Dominic West, Emma Corrin, Kelly Macdonald, Himesh Patel, David Harewood and Clemence Poesy.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is billed as “a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship.

“It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer”.

Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Colin Ferguson and Tom Everett Scott star.

It’s based on the novel of the same name by Jenny Han, whose other best-selling series, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, has spawned the Netflix spin-off XO Kitty and movie trilogy To All the Boys.

Prime Video hasn’t disclosed the premiere date other than to say it’s coming soon.
