Prime Video Adds Project Hail Mary

Hallelujah! Blockbuster movie Project Hail Mary will launch July 3 on Prime Video.

The universally acclaimed hit from Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller stars Ryan Gosling as a science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no idea of who he is or how he got there. Reads the blurb:

As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.

Prime Video’s also released the teaser trailer for The Love Hypothesis, which will stream from September 23.

It stars Lili Reinhart as Olive, a brilliant Ph.D. candidate focused on her future in academia. Reads the blurb:

But when she realises her best friend Ahn (Rachel Marsh) has fallen for her crush Jeremy (Nicholas Duvernay), Olive impulsively kisses intimidating professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman) to prove she’s moved on.

What begins as a desperate act of friendship spirals into a fake relationship with rules, boundaries, and a mutually beneficial agreement. When their arrangement begins to blur the lines between performance and reality, Olive is forced to test her most daunting hypothesis yet: that love might actually be worth the risk.

The Love Hypothesis is part of Prime Video’s Obsession Is In Session initiative celebrating young adult storytelling and fandom culture.
