Primetime Top 10: August 10
TV One’s Wednesday night newcomer Brief Encounters lived up to its name, with few viewers opting for the ’80s comedy.
It averaged only 2.7% of the network’s target 25-54 audience and 1.7% of 18-49s.
It was trounced by TV2’s The Big Bang Theory and 2 Broke Girls while TV3’s Chicago Med averaged 4.5% of 25-54s and 3.7% of 18-49s.
Hawaii Five-O continued to make a splash in its new midweek slot, leaving TV One’s Call the Midwife in its wake and beating TV2’s The Mysteries of Laura in the 25-54 stakes (3.9%). Even in the 18-49 race, it was only one-tenth of a point behind Laura.
While the US dramas and The Block NZ helped TV3 to win the night with 25-54s, TV2 dominated in most of the other key demos.
