Room for 104 on SoHo

Amid a slew of returning shows on SoHo in July, including season seven of Game of Thrones, is the premiere of an anthology drama about the goings-on in one room of a corporate hotel.

Created by Jay and Mark Duplass (Animals, Togetherness), Room 104 taps into a variety of genres, from comedy and drama to thriller and horror, to explore the stories of the characters who pass through the room on any given night.

They range from a pizza-delivery boy getting more than he bargained for and a babysitting gig that goes eerily awry, to a love story between two octogenarians and a woman seeking to enter another realm of reality with the help of a cult-like priest.

According to the publicity, “each episode plays like a mini-movie, offering a new discovery from one week to the next”.

The cast includes Melonie Diaz (Fruitvale Station), Orlando Jones (American Gods), James Van Der Beek (CSI: Cyber), Mae Whitman (Parenthood) and Philip Baker Hall.

Animals will resurface for its second season the same month on SoHo (10.00 Saturdays from July 29), along with Insecure for its second season (9.00 Thursdays from July 27), Ballers for its third season (8.30 Thursdays from July 27) and Outcast for its second season (8.30 Wednesdays from July 5).

Game of Thrones will screen the same as time as in the US — 1.00 Mondays from July 17 — while lined up for box set weekends are: S3 of Fargo (July 1), S2 of Into the Badlands (July 8), S4 of Silicon Valley and S6 of Veep (July 15), S2 of Ballers and S1 of Insecure (July 22), and S5 of Bates Motel (July 29).

? Room 104 will screen 9.30 Saturdays from July 29.

Are you guys watching the new Twin Peaks? I am and I love it even though it does get rather strange at times, it will be brilliant to watch on Blu-ray 🙂
