Schedule Alert: TVNZ 2 Dumps Extreme Weddings

Following this week’s season low, TVNZ 2 is dumping Extreme Weddings.

On Monday, the movie Ocean’s 8 will pre-empt both Extreme Weddings and stablemate Naked Attraction.

TVNZ 2 did plan to push Weddings back to 10.05 Mondays for its August 8 season final, so Snackmasters Australia could premiere at 8.40.

But it’s since had second thoughts and now will continue Naked Attraction after Snackmasters. No word yet on when the last two episodes of Extreme Weddings will air.

TVNZ is making the 11th-hour change because of the momentum Three’s 9-1-1 duo has built over the past few weeks.

This week both series won their slots in the 25-54 demo — 9-1-1 averaged 2.4% vs  Extreme Weddings‘ 0.8% — but Naked Attraction was competitive with Lone Star in the 18-49 audience TVNZ 2 targets.
