Shudder Snags Shaggy Dog Tale

AMC+ has snapped up acclaimed horror movie Good Boy for this month’s Shudder slate.

About a golden retriever with a sixth sense that tries to save his master from the evil of a house possessed, Variety said it “reflects the powerful connection between people and their pets as few films have, ultimately devastating us with the devotion these soulmates are capable of showing.”

Rolling Stone quipped, “Stick with this pup if you’re looking for horror with heart this Halloween and beyond,” while Empire called it “a highly effective indie horror that overcomes the familiarity of its scares with the brilliantly executed novelty of its canine conceit”.

Good Boy premieres on November 21; here’s the trailer.
