Sky 5 to Pull Supernatural

Sky 5 is pulling is the latest season of Supernatural from its May schedule.

It will replace the long-running monster show with season three of Marvel’s Runaways from May 8.

S15 was designed to be Supernatural’s last but the impact of COVID-19 has stopped production indefinitely.

According to showrunner Andrew Dabb’s Twitter, the series had filmed through episode 18, Den of Geek reports.

But, as the visual effects and sound departments have closed due to the outbreak, the already-shot episodes cannot be finished.

This means there is currently no date for Supernatural Season 15’s return and no date for the show’s big series finale, which probably would have aired sometime in late April or early May, if everything had gone according to plan.

While the fate of Supernatural‘s series finale is unclear, Dabb did confirm that “we, the CW, and Warner Bros fully intend to return and finish the series,” adding “it’s not a matter of ‘if,’ it’s a matter of ‘when.’” A comforting commitment for fans.
