Sky Box Sets in March

Next month Sky Box Sets will screen the NZ premieres of gangster drama Power and season three of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Power was produced by 50 Cent and spawned four seasons about a New York nightclub owner who’s one of America’s biggest drug czars.

“The volatile combo of elements leads to occasionally sloppy storytelling, but the cast makes it a deeply bingeable guilty pleasure,” Entertainment Weekly said.

But The Hollywood Reporter thought it “paint-by-numbers” while the Wall Street Journal quipped: “It would be funny, if it weren’t quite so tedious.”

SBS will precede the latest season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend with re-runs of the first two and also will premiere sci-fi thriller Ascension, award-winner Big Little Lies, fantasy series Olympus and werewolf thriller Bitten.
