As expected, Sky has signed a new deal for Paramount content that includes the pending Yellowstone spin-offs as well as missing series like The Agency and hopefully Lawmen: Bass Reeves.

Does this mean that Sky wil show the new Starfleet Academy and any other new Star Trek shows from Paramount? — Paul W.
Have asked Sky for a fuller list of titles so hopefully will find out soon …
I note that TVNZ won’t be taking the new season of NCIS: Sydney – maybe a title Neon/Sky might take? — Clint.
Highly likely, Clint.
I thought TVNZ would want to lock down the Paramount deal to beef up TVNZ+. I wonder if the Peacock/Universal titles will end up on Sky. Does this mean some of the Paramount content will end up on ThreeNow, Philip? — Leo.
Yes, it does, Leo. Some shows are earmarked for Three so presumably will stream on ThreeNow.
Bad news, Paul W and Clint: Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and NCIS: Sydney aren’t part of the deal, so they’re still languishing in limbo.
Thanks for the info Philip. Seems ridiculous to let these shows languish, I guess they’re all Netflix bound at some point. — Leo.
@leo All the Star Trek programmes got pulled from Netflix NZ as from January 8. 2026 so I wouldn’t expect any new Paramount stuff to go there. — Paul W.
One of the things about the TVNZ-ViacomCBS deal (way back when) was the poor performance of properties on Prime (nee Sky Open). Given Sky now has Three, and it has been ~5 years since the partnership was announced, how does this Sky-Paramount affect the TVNZ deal, its access to Paramount+ exclusives (like Tulsa King etc)? Does TVNZ start losing streaming/broadcast rights? Are they LOS or ROS based? Is a whole lot of content going to flip-flop or go all-platform like all the Bravo content did? — Mike.
So many pertinent questions, Mike, not all of which I can answer. But will post an analysis shortly that covers some.
