Sky Open Adds Live Cricket
Sky Open is adding live cricket to its peak-hour schedule on November 19.
It will screen the ICC Cricket World Cup final from 9.00.
The amendment not only pre-empts that week’s episodes of Five Bedrooms, Pivoting and Smackdown but also disrupts the early-evening schedule.
Pawn Stars will screen at 6.30 and the previously scheduled Massive Engineering Mistakes will move back to 7.00, Shepherdess to 8.00 and Raised by Refugees to 8.30, displacing Ambulance for the night.
Sky Open will be banking on improving the sampling of local shows Shepherdess and Refugees by rescheduling them as the lead-in to the cricket.
And this weekend’s live coverage of Fast Five Netball starts an hour later than previously scheduled. It will screen from 7.00 on Saturday and Sunday, with delayed coverage of Fast 5 games that played earlier in the day airing from 6.00-7.00.
Meanwhile, Saturday afternoon’s live coverage of UFC 295 Prelims will now air two hours later than previously scheduled, from 2.00.
Other Sky Open programming changes include We’re Here on November 16 being replaced by the season four finale of Celebrity Bake Off at 8.30 and by How We Eat – With Simon Gault the following Thursday.
