Sneak Peek III: Sony Sizes Up 3DTV for 3Q
Sony is the latest consumer electronics giant to unveil its 2010 range of HDTVs and 3DTVs to trade media in Australia and Asia.
Expect many of the 26 models demonstrated in Australia yesterday to be available here in the third quarter of the year, with the three 3D options — in 50- and 60-inch sizes — confirmed for July across the Tasman.
CNET Australia reports there also will be a range of 3D-capable sets that can display 3D images with the addition of an optional transmitter and glasses.
Meanwhile, CNET Asia says Sony was unable to confirm if Sony’s top-of-the-range LX-9000 series will support 2D-3D conversion, as Smarthouse says will be the case with Samsung’s high-end models, due to their inclusion of RealD technology.
