Spider-Man Bound for Disney+ NZ

Disney+ NZ announced today it will stream the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies from Friday.

The movies have been missing from the Disney+ Marvel line-up because they were produced by Sony Pictures.

They are Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007).

Their release to Disney+ signals a new partnership that will extend to more titles from Sony Pictures’ film and television library premiering this year on the streaming service, presumably including — TVNZ’s new Sony deal notwithstanding — the Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland trilogies.

In the UK, Disney+ subscribers will be able to stream all three trilogies from Friday.

YAY, good to see New Zealand is getting some Spidey action Philip. I think the first trilogy is the best ?

  2. Even though Disney have announced only the first 3 Spider-Man movies for New Zealand, I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up putting more on. I notice Australia is getting all of them apart from No Way Home ?
