Sports Programming Changes

Prime is replacing Thursday’s lockdown-postponed Halberg Awards broadcast with the movie McLaren st 7.30.

The Red Carpet curtain-raiser will be replaced by Pawn Stars at 6.00; highlights of the Australian Open will air at 9.30 and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will shift forward to 10.35.

TVNZ 1’s also having to reschedule Wednesday’s line-up because of the cancelled PRADA Cup Racing coverage.

Screening instead will be Emmerdale Family Tree (12.30), which reflects on three generations of the soap’s most-loved families, with archive footage and first-hand accounts from iconic cast members; Tipping Point (3.00); Te Karere (4.00); Gino’s Italian Express (4.30); The Chase (5.00); and Motorbike Cops (11.05).

Three’s Sunday afternoon car racing schedule’s also been revised to feature: Mazda Racing Series (1.00), Toyota Racing Series (1.30) and the premiere of Mobil 1 The Grid (2.30), which is billed as “offering a behind the scenes VIP pass to the world of motorsport”.

    YAY, next Tuesday is Star day. I think the first movie I will watch is Die Hard, actually they have included all 5 movies but I will ignore the last one, I found it YUCK 🙂

  2. Hope it’s a good presentation, anything would be better than the awful Die Hard BD I recently watched, the picture was so bad it hurt my eyes. What audio format does Disney Star use ?

  3. Just like all of the other big name streaming services: Dolby Digital Plus, with Atmos on select titles.

  4. Die Hard should look excellent especially if you have got 4K, I haven’t sadly. I don’t think I have seen it in HD so that’s good enough for me 🙂
