Springsteen Delivered for Summer

The Bear plays The Boss in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, which streams on Disney+ from January 23.
It dramatises the creative process — and the pressures of ambition, success and self-discovery — behind Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska. Reads the blurb:
Centered on a young musician wrestling with moments when “the quiet gets a little loud,” the film provides an intimate look at Springsteen’s family history and the emotional resonance that would come to define his work.
The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White to only stars but also sings and plays his own guitar.
The movie was a box office flops but White’ performance struck a chord with critics.
Said Rotten Tomatoes: “Focusing on Bruce Springsteen’s lowest emotional ebb, this brooding biopic too often feels like the B-sides from an extraordinary career but benefits from Jeremy Allen White and Jeremy Strong’s stellar performances.”

Prime Video has greenlit Fallout Shelter, an unscripted 10-part competition series inspired by the award-winning Fallout universe.
It will be produced by Studio Lambert (The Traitors, Squid Game: The Challenge) as a co-production with Kilter Films (Westworld, Fallout) in association with Bethesda Game Studios, the team behind the game franchise. Here’s the blurb:
Set inside Vault-Tec’s bomb-proof vaults, Fallout Shelter drops a diverse group of contestants into an immersive, high-stakes world inspired by the games’ signature dark humour, retro-futurism, and post-apocalyptic survival storytelling. Across a series of escalating challenges, strategic dilemmas, and moral crossroads, contestants must prove their ingenuity, teamwork, and resilience as they compete for safety, power, and ultimately a huge cash prize. The new series will blend large-scale challenges with deeply social, psychological, and narrative-driven gameplay, staying true to the tone, world-building, and choice-driven ethos that have defined Fallout for over 25 years.

Prime Video also has revealed Sophie (Game of Thrones) Turner’s startling new look as archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft in Tomb Raider.
The series also stars Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bobb-Semple, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Bill Paterson, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, Celia Imrie and August Wittgenstein.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) is the creator, writer, executive producer and co-showrunner.

Lastly, Ryan Hurst will play Kratos in Prime Video’s God of War from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
The live action series will closely follow the path of the last two games as the Spartan who sold his soul deals with something new: his ten year old son Atreus as they embark on a journey to spread the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye.
While Kratos tries to teach his son to be a better god, Atreus tries to teach his father how to be a better human.
Based on PlayStation’s ancient mythology-themed video game, God of War has received a two-season order; Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, For All Mankind) is the showrunner, executive producer and writer.
