Starstruck Goes Out on High Note
TVNZ 1’s season final of Starstruck won its slot in the network’s core commercial demographic on Thursday.
The variety show averaged 4.15% of 25-54 year-olds to deliver a 31.01 share (85,268 viewers) while TVNZ 2’s MasterChef Australia and Three’s 7 Days battled it out for second place.
The former averaged a 3.94 rating/24.40 share and the latter a 3.69 rating/17.23 share.
But Three’s re-run of Urzila Carlson: Token African won the 8.30 hour with a 2.30 rating/14.61 share vs a 1.94 rating/17.79 share for TVNZ 1’s Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job and a 1.45 rating/15.14 share for TVNZ 2’s Australian Survivor.
As always, the night’s most watched 24-54 show was 1 News (8.55 rating/54.42 share), followed by The Chase (5.30), Seven Sharp, Newshub Live at 6pm, Starstruck, Shortland Street, MasterChef Australia, 7 Days, The Project and The Chase (5.00).
The biggest 25-54 channel shares were: TVNZ 1, 32.08; Three, 22.98; TVNZ 2, 18.76; Bravo, 2.97; Duke, 2.64; Eden, 2.39; Prime, 1.60.
TVNZ 1 also had the biggest share of viewers 5+ (41.12) and 18-49 year-olds (32.6).
