Streaming Heads-Up: Disney+ Greenlights SailGP Docuseries

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds’ first reunion since Deadpool & Wolverine is a new Disney+ docuseries about the Australian SailGP team they own, BONDS Flying Roos.
The untitled Maximum Effort series will go behind the scenes to capture “life inside one of the world’s most demanding sports leagues” as the Roos compete in a stadium-style championship where identical catamarans race up to 100 km/h in close-to-shore courses.
“This is our first collaboration since Deadpool & Wolverine and we once again anticipate action, comedy, heart but with a lot more water. And (fingers crossed) pirates. We hope there’s pirates in SailGP,” Jackman and Reynolds say in the press release announcing the production.
If the premise sounds familiar, it could be because Wrexham AFC Co-Chairman and Welcome to Wrexham executive producer Rob Mac serves in the same capacity through his More Better Productions banner.
