The Book of Boba Fett — the new Disney+ Lucasfilm series teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the season two finale of The Mandalorian — will premiere on December 29.
It stars Temuera Morrison as legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
In other news, Disney+ has commissioned a second season of The Mysterious Benedict Society, to shoot early next year.
It will continue with the the team of intrepid orphans reuniting a year after their first mission, when they were assembled by the eccentric Mr. Benedict and his cohorts to foil the nefarious “Emergency” that Benedict’s twin brother created.
Reads the blurb: “Now they must embark on a perilous journey, relying on wits, intellect, and empathy to try to try to stop Curtain as he shifts to a new strategy with global implications.”
And coming in December is the six-part original series Welcome to Earth.
