Summer on Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime Video has revealed some of the highlights it will premiere over summer, starting this month with Yearly Departed.
The December 23 comedy special has the likes of Jane Fonda, Megan Stalter, Aparna Nancherla, Dulcé Sloan, X Mayo and Chelsea Peretti roasting and toasting the tumultuous year that was 2021.
The Tender Bar (January 7) concerns a fatherless boy growing up in the glow of a bar where the bartender, his Uncle Charlie, is the sharpest and most colourful of an assortment of quirky and demonstrative father figures.
Based on the memoir of the same name, it stars Ben Affleck, Tye Sheridan, Christopher Lloyd, Lily Rabe and Daniel Ranieri under the direction of George Clooney.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (January 14) has Drac and the Pack scouring the globe for a cure to reverse their transformation into humans in this direct-to-streaming release of the hit box office franchise.
Reacher (February 4) is the first TV drama series adaptation of the Lee Child novels, starring Alan Ritchson as the trouble-shooting drifter.
S4 of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel (February 18) is set in the 1960s, when Midge’s commitment to her craft — and the places it takes her — creates a rift with her family and friends.
S2 of Star Trek: Picard will land on February 22 but APV has yet to disclose details about its direction, other than it “follows this iconic character into the next chapter of his life”.

I liked Picard s01 but s02 looks like a time travel snoozefest. Stewart did it better in X-Men Days Of Future Past.
