Super Models to Bow on Apple TV+

New Apple TV+ “documentary event” about ’80s supermodels will stream from September 20.

Directed by Oscar-winner Roger Ross Williams and Larissa Bills, the four-part series profiles Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington — who also just happen to be executive producers. Reads the blurb:

Unprecedented access to the models takes viewers behind the camera and beyond the catwalk, revealing how they dominated the elite modelling world while illuminating a bond that single-handedly shifted the power dynamic of an entire industry …. Today, the four supermodels remain on the frontlines of culture through activism, philanthropy and business prowess. As the fashion industry continues to redefine itself – and women’s roles within it – this is the ultimate story of power and how four women came together to claim it, paving the way for those to follow.

The Super Models is produced by Imagine Documentaries and One Story Up.

Another Apple TV+ newcomer, The Changeling, will debut with the first three of eight episodes on September 8.

Based on the book of the same name by Victor LaValle, it’s billed as “a fairytale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed.”

LaKeith Stanfield (Atlanta), Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson and Malcolm Barrett star.

Prime Video will stream the fifth and final film in Anna Todd’s After young adult franchise, After Everything, from October 8.

Based on the novels After Ever Happy and Before, it finds Hardin besieged by writer’s block after breaking up with Tessa. Reads the blurb:

He travels to Portugal in search of a woman he wronged in the past – and to find himself. Hoping to win back Tessa, he realises he needs to change his ways before he can make the ultimate commitment.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Josephine Langford, Mimi Keene, Benjamin Mascolo, Stephen Moyer and Louise Lombard star.
