Terra Nova No More

 Fox TV in the US has axed Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur fantasy, Terra Nova. “Terra Nova did not become a runaway hit, but its decent ratings, coupled with strong international sales for sibling 20th Century Fox TV, which produces the series, were keeping renewal hopes alive,” Deadline reports. 20th Century Fox TV hopes to sell the show to another US network but the deal would have to be done quickly to get the second season on air this year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, cast and crew were already finding other gigs before Fox officially announced the cancellation. The news will be a blow to TV3 — although the network didn’t have enough faith in the series to launch it day-and-date with the US, as other international markets did, Terra Nova has rated well in its first two weeks at 7.30pm Saturday (it has nine more weeks to run).
