The Blacklist Back on TV3’s Hit List

The Blacklist’s Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) at last gets her day in court.
TV3 will resume The Blacklist on February 3 on a double-bill with the season two premiere of Chicago PD.
The network had scheduled the movie Sione’s 2: Unfinished Business in the slot but will now shift the sequel forward to January 27, pre-empting a repeat of Australia.
The return of The Blacklist is overdue given it’s streaming in SD on 3Now.
Moreover, leaving it off-air any later risked fans switching their allegiance to TV1’s Blindspot (8.30 Sunday), which, as The Hollywood Reporter observed, contains “Blacklist DNA“.
It’s also bad faith to keep the faithful waiting so long when previous seasons have aired within the same week as the US — especially when only movies, and not more pressing programming, have been delaying Blacklist’s comeback.
The same is true of TV2 holding back The Big Bang Theory after screening the first half of the latest season within a few days of CBS.
Unlike less popular shows, TVNZ doesn’t stream TBBT on-demand, which is understandable but patently absurd when the show’s reached such a pivotal point in its nine-year run: the consummation of Sheldon and Amy’s relationship.
Anyone who’s used a geo-blocker to stream it from the CBS site will have been rewarded with one of the funniest, sweetest Big Bangs yet.

We are big fans of The Blacklist so very happy for this show to reappear on our screens. We had no interest in streaming this show in standard definition.
Anyone know when this will return to NZ. I see season 6 just started in the US and Netflix NZ normally shows it commercial-free a couple of days of it screening on Three?
Hey, Paul. The Blacklist resumes this Tuesday on Three https://www.screenscribe.net/channels/hd-heads-up-january-5-11/. The other benefit of watching it on Netflix is it streams in 4K.
Thanx for the info.
I see that The Blacklist season 7 has started in the US this week. Is Three going to be showing it here so that I can watch it on Netflix as per the last few seasons?
No sign of it so far. Will check with Three tomorrow but presume it will adopt the same strategy as last year, when it delayed the season premiere until January, then aired late-night double-eps to close the gap with US broadcasts. I’d wait for the Netflix window, anyway, because it streams the series in 4K.
Three confirmed today that The Blacklist will return in early 2020.
Thank you for that.
