This Just In: The Daily Show and Colbert to Make Kiwi Comeback

As tipped on this site, Comedy Central at last has confirmed it will be the new home of The Daily Show.

From April 6, it will play the current affairs satire, which used to air on C4, back-to-back with The Colbert Report.

Neither will air in HD, as they do in the US, but both shows will be fresh off the satellite feed on the same day as the US broadcast, with The Daily Show: Global Edition screening on Mondays and new daily episodes from 10.30pm Tuesday-Friday as the lead-in to The Colbert Report.

The Daily Show has won 13 Emmy and two Peabody Awards over the 10 years Jon Stewart has helmed it.
