Three Fast Tracks Delta Special

Amid a raft of scheduling changes due to the level-four lockdown, Three has fast-tracked a Newshub investigation into the Delta outbreak.

Originally slated for September 7, it now will air 7.30 on Tuesday, ahead of the premiere of Patrick Gower: On Hate.

The Mike McRoberts-fronted Newshub Investigates: Delta will examine how Delta got here, what happens next, and what lies ahead, with reporting from Gower, Mel Chan-Green, Tova O’Brien, Mitch McCann, Emma Cropper in Australia and Lisette Raymer in London.

The special will pre-empt The Block NZ, which will screen only Sunday and Monday next week.

A double-episode of Bondi Rescue will replace it on Wednesday, with The Block’s penultimate episode scheduled for September 5 and the season final for September 6.

The 90-minute finale will push back the start of Head High to 9.00, which will pre-empt the 9.30 broadcast of Emergency Call USA.

While lockdown has affected Block’s production, dragging out the final four episodes over two weeks instead of one means the final will be a top drawcard for Three against TVNZ 2’s season premiere of Celebrity Treasure Island.

In other changes, Three will replace Thursday’s 7 Days with another repeat of Bay Patrol and the 1.00 movies for tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Restored.
