ThreeNow Launches MovieSphere

It’s a Happy Easter for free-to-stream movie fans, with ThreeNow at last launching its MovieSphere FAST channel.

The service went live this morning, with an underwhelming selection of first-day titles, including Collision Earth, Earth’s Final Hours, Prince Valiant, Wagons East, Rob-B-Hood, The Forbidden Kingdom, Warrior and 5 Days of War.

Tomorrow’s schedule is devoted to the season-one premiere of biblical series The Chosen, a theatrical-digital-broadcast hybrid that’s soon to shoot the fifth of seven seasons.

The Chosen originally was financed through crowdfunding in 2017 and distributed mostly on The Chosen app.

“But last year the show greatly expanded its distribution footprint to third-party outlets like The CW on broadcast,” Variety reports.

“And its windows were shortened, so The Chosen hit streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Peacock soon after its premiere on the app.”

Really odd to have a first-season binge on a movies channel.
