Titan-ic Trailer for Monarch S2

Apple TV has released the teaser for season two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which guest stars Kiwi Cliff Curtis and streams weekly from February 27.

In addition to Kong, S2 will feature Godzilla and a new Titan: the enigmatic Titan X, now officially on the loose.  Reads the blurb:

Titan X isn’t just another monster; it’s a living cataclysm. When its massive bioluminescent form breaks the surface of the ocean, the world seems to hold its breath. Titan X stands at the centre of the mystery – an ancient force emerging from the deep, its purpose uncertain, its power unmatched, its awe and terror in equal measure.

Curtis joins a cast led by Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell and Anna Sawai.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Monsterverse series, S1 tracked two siblings whose search to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organisation known as Monarch plunged them into a world of monsters.

The 10-part S2 continues with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance.

The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where the Titan rises from the sea.

The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.

Apple TV’s also announced production of a docuseries about tennis icon Andre Agassi.

Based on his memoir, Open: An Autobiography, it will be directed by Emmy-winner Chris Smith (100 Foot Wave).
