Tonight in HD: December 1

SoHo Highlight: Treme (Sky 10, 9.30, 5.1) Antoine heads to Baton Rouge to visit his sons; LaDonna and Toni probe a case of mistaken identity; Albert’s Indians bury their Wild Man. The Guardian said episode four was a treat for fans of creator David Simon’s previous series, The Wire, because it features three more recruits from that show’s cast. “In addition, there was a very Wire-ish scene where Toni (Melissa Leo) met up with a police officer with her car facing the opposite way from his. As if that wasn’t enough, one of Sonny’s friends told him: ‘It’s a big fucking country, man. I mean Texas itself, shit … It’s not like Holland or Hamsterdam or wherever the fuck you’re from.’ Hamsterdam was of course the name of the drugs tolerance zone in The Wire.” Not surprisingly, the episode was written by Wire alumni George Pelecanos and Eric Overmyer. ✭✭✭✭✭
