Series Highlight: The Middle (TV2, 7.30) Frankie and Mike take the family on a camping trip and revisit memories of their campsite honeymoon. In part two of what was an hour-long season premiere in the US, Ray Romano guest stars as an old pal of Mike’s who stumbles upon their romantic getaway. “You look really familiar,” he tells Frankie, who’s played by his ex-Everybody Loves Raymond wife, Patricia Heaton. Joked Romano to TV Guide: “I’m her husband of nine years. Patty and Neil [Flynn] have only been married so far for two.” ✭✭✭✭

Friends (TV2, 6.30, R) Chandler and Ross run into two bullies at the coffee shop; Phoebe attempts to visit her birth father. ✭✭✭

Shortland Street (TV2, 7.00) Hunter’s faith is restored; Ula plays problem solver; Chris fears he’s lost his family’s trust for good. ✭✭✭

The Secret Lives of Dancers (TV3, 7.30) There are tears on the dance floor when casting week brings some shock surprises. ✭✭✭✭
