Tonight in HD: January 18

SoHo Highlight: Missing (Sky 10, 8.30, 5.1) In episode 11 of 13, Sarah and Holder discover more on Rosie, but the investigation stalls when they have to set out on a search for Jack. “In terms of the larger story this show is telling, Missing was absolutely pointless, and yet another reminder that it’s very hard to stretch a single mystery out over this many weeks,” complained critic Alan Sepinwall. “And yet … I enjoyed Missing more than most of the last two months’ worth of episodes.” Echoed another of the serial thriller’s harshest critics, the AV Club: “Of the many frustrating things about The Killing—and there really are quite a few—perhaps the most vexing thing is that just when you’re ready to write the show off entirely, it all of a sudden gets good again.” ✭✭✭✭
