SoHo Highlight: Mad Men (Sky 10, 8.30, 5.1) Lane’s world comes crashing down after getting busted for forging Don’s signature on a check; Sally experiences an awkward rite of passage while spending the weekend with the Drapers. “This drama is recovering its poise as it heads towards the season’s conclusion,” said The Guardian of the penultimate episode. “After dallying with melodrama (Pete and Beth Dawes, Harry and Hari Kinsey), the show has moved back towards the darker, more sophisticated narratives of cause and unexpected consequence.” Newsday said this was a “big episode” but not one the critic necessarily liked: “I didn’t like losing a critical character, and in some ways one of the most intriguing. So much unresolved about this character — so much forever unresolved.” ✭✭✭✭
