Fired up the ol’ Freeview HD box for some quality viewing tonight and immediately noticed the audio on CSI has been downgraded from Dolby Digital 5.1 to ‘HD stereo’. WTF ?!?

  2. TV3 replies:
The tape that was ingested had the full mix left channel in place of the centre channel by the distributor. This, unfortunately, was not picked up by the broadcast media operator. There was not enough time last night to get a new copy in when this was noticed by Presentation. Since the stereo audio was okay, the decision was made to air in stereo rather than 5.1.

  3. I like the use of the phrase ‘ingested’. LOL. Oh well, Hawaii Five-0 made up for it. Just don’t let it happen again 😉
