Tragedy Changes Motel Booking

TVNZ 1 has pre-empted Sunday’s scheduled episode of Blue Murder Motel because of the massive Mount Maunganui campground landslide.

“In response to recent catastrophic weather events, this Sunday’s episode of Blue Murder Motel episode has changed,” a spokeswoman says.

“The episode takes place at a holiday park and is mentioned frequently, so we are being mindful given the current tragic circumstances caused by recent weather events.”

According to the synopsis, “At Shady Vista Holiday Park, guest tensions erupt in a fiery murder. Constable Jamie Haira pulls retired ex-cops Vinny and Cole back into sleuthing, derailing their seaside retirement dreams.”

Episode three will now air instead of E2. Reads the synopsis: “It’s peak summer and the town swarms with partying teens. When a boy vanishes with his jet ski, Vinny and Cole face a trio of intimidating, entitled girls who are clearly hiding a secret.”

E2’s new broadcast date is February 1.
