Trailer: The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (Again)

A Disney+ reboot of the thriller The Hand That Rocks the Cradle will stream from October 22.

Today it released the trailer for the 20th Century Studios movie, which is billed as “a hauntingly modern twist on the classic film”.

It stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as a wealthy suburban mother who brings a new nanny (Longlegs’ Maika Monroe) into her home — only to discover she is not the person she claims to be.

Raúl Castillo, Martin Starr, Mileiah Vega, Riki Lindhome and Shannon Cochran co-star; Michelle Garza Cervera directs.

The 1992 original, starring Rebecca De Mornay and Annabella Sciorra, already can be streamed on Disney+.
