Trailers: Beast Games S2, Hijack S2

Prime Video has released the trailer for season two of Beast Games, which opens with three episodes on January 7.

The trailer reveals a special edition crossover episode with Survivor, the first-of-its-kind relationship between two global competition phenomena. Reads the blurb:

As the pioneering force that defined the genre, CBS’s Survivor brings its unmatched legacy and battle-tested gameplay into the Beast Games universe for a true creative collaboration that celebrates the roots of reality competition while pushing boundaries in an integrated way.

Beast Games contestants will take on a hybrid challenge course that blends Beast Games’ larger-than-life innovation with Survivor’s groundbreaking format. The special incorporates authentic Survivor elements—including mid-challenge bribes, strategic twists, and signature physical obstacles—resulting in an episode that seamlessly bridges the worlds of content creators and traditional television.

Netflix will stream two NFL marquee games on Boxing Day: the Dallas Cowboys v Washington Commanders (7am) and Detroit Lions v. Minnesota Vikings (10.30am). Here’s the announcement.

Apple TV has unveiled the trailer for S2of Hijack, which streams from January 14.

Created by George Kay (Lupin, Criminal) and Jim Field Smith (Criminal, Litvinenko), the eight-episode sequel is set aboard a Berlin underground train where the passengers, including Sam Nelson (Idris Elba), are taken hostage while authorities scramble to save hundreds of lives.

Apple TV also will premiere Margo’s Got Money Troubles on April 15 with a heavyweight cast that includes Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, Greg Kinnear, Nick Offerman and Marcia Gay Harden. Reads the blurb:

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a bold, heartwarming, and comedic family drama following recent college dropout and aspiring writer, Margo (Fanning), the daughter of an ex-Hooter’s waitress (Pfeiffer) and ex-pro wrestler (Offerman), as she’s forced to make her way with a new baby, a mounting pile of bills and a dwindling amount of ways to pay them.

Pfeiffer’s husband David E Kelley is the showrunner. It’s his second collaboration with Apple; a second season of his first, Presumed Innocent, is filming.
