TV One Kicks English Premier Into Different League

TV One will screen live HD coverage of English Premier League matches from August 17.
The games will air early on Sunday mornings and replace the delayed match of the week that used to air midday Sundays.
The first match will be between London rivals Tottenham and West Ham, and feature All Whites star player Winston Reid (above) in his first game of the season.
Upcoming matches include Everton vs Arsenal (August 23, 4.20am) and Manchester City vs Stoke City (August 31, 1.50am).
TVNZ Ondemand will screen the games at the same time as TV One, and also provide delayed coverage.
The bad news for fans is the weekly highlights package is also shifting slots, from 11pm Mondays to midnight Wednesdays.
“The English Premier League is the biggest league in the world,” TV One associate programmer Adam Soldinger says, “and following the huge success of our FIFA World Cup coverage, we know fans of the beautiful game will be excited to have more live and uninterrupted football coverage.”

Awesome news. Be great to be able to watch some Arsenal games live rather than having to wait until late evening to watch the match more than 12 hours after the actual match was played.
