TVNZ 1 Backtracks The Celebrity Chase
TVNZ 1 will revert to re-runs of The Celebrity Chase from Wednesday.
The network says this is due to ITV being unable to deliver new episodes, although it’s still possible these will surface during the current run.
In the meantime, TVNZ 1 will repeat the series from episode two of season 12.
It will feature comedian Chris McCausland, musician Levi Roots, actress Catherine Tyldesley and keyboardist Rick Wakeman.
The March 29 broadcast will guest star actress Sally Lindsay, singer Lance Ellington, jockey Bob Champion and former gymnast Beth Tweddle.
Meanwhile, Channel 4 is betting heavily on another Wednesday night favourite, TVNZ 2’s Taskmaster.
It’s just renewed the show for six more seasons and commissioned a junior version.
“I’ve watched many, many comedians flounder when given simple instructions over the past few years and I fully expect the competitors in Junior Taskmaster to be both more competent and just as funny,” creator and presenter Alex Horne says.
