TVNZ 2 Pulls Have You Been Paying Attention?

This afternoon TVNZ announced tonight’s broadcast of Have You Been Paying Attention? (TVNZ 2, 7.30) wouldn’t proceed because of COVID-19.
Said Rachel Howard, general manager of corporate communications:
Have You Been Paying Attention will not air tonight as planned. The show was filmed earlier in the week. However, the format of the programme doesn’t line up with what is being asked of New Zealanders today.
Given the ‘as live’ nature of the show, it’s important to be sensitive to what’s happening on the day of each broadcast.
We’re taking a moment to regroup and Have You Been Paying Attention will go on a short hiatus while we look at how production can move forward at different alert levels.
The safety of our cast and crew will be our number one priority throughout this planning.
We love the show as much as our viewers do and we can’t wait to bring it back to the TVNZ 2 schedule as soon as possible.
TVNZ 2 will instead screen 20 Years of Motorway Patrol. It’s the latest in a raft of scheduling changes the network’s had to implement because of the pandemic.
