TVNZ+ Doesn’t Fold on The Paper

TVNZ+ will not distribute all 10 episodes of The Paper at once, as Peacock will in the US.
Initially, Peacock’s plan was to launch The Office spin-off with four episodes on September 4 and then roll out double-episodes weekly.
TVNZ+ is following this strategy, even though Peacock has since changed tack. According to The Hollywood Reporter:
Citing positive responses from people who have previewed the series (though not in print; reviews are embargoed until closer to the premiere), Peacock, Universal Television and the show’s producers decided to make the change and drop the entire season at once. The move will also put the entirety of The Paper in front of audiences several weeks before the start of the traditional TV season makes the premiere calendar even more crowded.
However, a TVNZ spokesperson says: “We’ll still be continuing with the original release pattern.”
A late addition to TVNZ+ the same week is season two of Under His Command (August 30).
The new four-part series has John Campbell interviewing people connected to Destiny Church about the devastating impact they say the church has had on their lives as well as those taking action to stop it.
