TVNZ OnDemand Goes Into the Woods

TVNZ OnDemand has added a new supernatural series to its October line-up.

The Girl in the Woods is a coming-of-age drama set in the Pacific Northwest that follows a teenage runaway’s escape from her mysterious, cult-like colony that guards the world from terrifying monsters hidden behind a secret door in the woods.

It’s the latest acquisition from TVNZ’s NBCUniversal deal and will stream from October 21, the same day it launches on US streaming service Peacock.

“This one looks like a lot of fun, tapping into that same ‘teens vs. monsters’ vibe of Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy,” reckons BloodyDisgusting.
