Vikings: Valhalla S2 in 2023

Fans of Vikings: Valhalla will have to wait until next year for season two, Netflix confirmed today.

It commissioned 24 episodes of the Vikings sequel, which is markedly superior to the original, but has broken them up into three eight-episode seasons.

S1 premiered February 25 and ranked #1 on the Netflix Top 10 for the week of February 28, with 113.38 million hours viewed.

Netflix says the series cracked the Top 10 in 90 countries snd garnered 80.5 million hours viewed during its first two days the week prior, to notch up 194 million hours viewed in its first nine days.

“Fans of Valhalla — THANK YOU to the millions of you who have watched (and rewatched!) Season One,” creator and showerunner Jeb Stuart said in a statementy.

“The numbers have been mind-boggling and beyond my wildest expectations. I’m thrilled to be able to confirm that we wrapped and are already editing season two and that production will start soon on seasonthree.

“While the storylines for Leif, Freydis, Harald, Olaf, Canute and the rest of our amazing cast are secret, I can say without hesitation that their journeys will be even more epic than what you’ve seen so far. SKÅL!!!”
